Starfighter: Final Hope · Last updated: August 10, 2026
Bored Brinko ("we," "us") developed Starfighter: Final Hope (the "Game"), a mobile arcade shooter for Android. This policy explains what data the Game and the third-party services it uses collect, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the Game only.
None. The Game does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, or contact information, and does not transmit your gameplay data to us. Your save file (progress, unlocked items, settings) lives only in the Game's local storage on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the Game.
The Game shows ads through Google AdMob, part of Google's Mobile Ads SDK, in two forms:
Buying the optional Remove Ads upgrade disables ads in the Game. To select and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier) | Ad personalization and frequency capping |
| Approximate location (derived from IP address) | Regional ad targeting and legal compliance (e.g., consent requirements) |
| Device information (model, OS version, language) | Ad formatting and fraud prevention |
| App interaction data (ad views, clicks, install events) | Ad measurement and billing |
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own Privacy Policy. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device's system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android versions), and you can opt out of personalized ads at any time through the consent prompt described below or via Google Ads Settings.
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the Game uses Google's User Messaging Platform to show a consent prompt before any ad is requested, in line with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework and applicable law (GDPR, UK GDPR). You can choose personalized or non-personalized ads, and you can change your choice later from the Game's Settings menu.
If you sign in to Google Play Games, the Game submits your score, deepest sector reached, and similar gameplay stats to Google's leaderboard service so you can compare results with other players. This is tied to your Google Play Games profile, governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and is entirely optional — declining sign-in does not affect gameplay.
Optional purchases (e.g., a one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment card details — Google handles the transaction and shares only the purchase confirmation needed to unlock your purchase, tied to your Google account.
Starfighter: Final Hope is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the address below and we will investigate.
We may update this policy as the Game evolves (for example, when new features or third-party services are added). Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to zach.carman@gmail.com.
